Bar Stools on Planes?
How about this for a crazy idea. In recent suggestions from Chinese Airlines, decision makers are considering the introduction of allowing mobile phone calls on board whilst flying.
The solution is presented as part of a revenue generating exercise to encourage customers to pay extra for the mobile phone services because of a growing demand from customers to remain in contact whilst in the air. The problem is that cynics have labelled the solution an effort to install ‘bar stools’ on flights where casual use seems to go a little beyond reason.
Having said all that, if China Airlines do decide to kit out their fleet with bar stools then it’d be a great lift for the tightening industry opening up whole new market opportunities.
