Blue bar stools are a bit out there. They’re not common and some would argue they’re not popular either. But don’t these two factors contribute to making the blue bar stool even more of a design statement than any other colour? I’ve spoken to many interior designers about bar stools in the course of running this site and I can tell you, if you want to make a real style statement, then go for the out of the ordinary and get a reaction.
Imagine having guests over for the first time and bringing them into your kitchen for a warm up drink and bam, a blue bar stool is the first thing they see. Imagine that on a backdrop of a pretty simple, clean colour; white, for instance. With some solid granite black worktops and some glazed white kitchen cabinets and then whao…an gaudy bright blue bar stool…or a set of them. You can bet your money on getting a reaction ‘ I love the stools!’ or something along those lines.
The bad news about blue bar stools though is that there aren;t that many styles to choose from, but that’s OK, not many people will have them and they’re are some real bargains to be had.
